Giorgio Tuma is an Italian musician on Elefant Records who just released the dreamy psychedelic album ‘This Life Denied Me Your Love’, following recent collaborations with Lena Karlsson, Malik ‘theFreq’ Moore and Laetitia Sadier (who also appears on the album).
Bringing his full band on tour, expect hallucinogenic synths mixed with silky chords, acoustic guitars and shoegaze along the lines of BROADCAST and THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Giorgio’s album has five different producers – mostly Matilde Davoli, one of the emerging figures of electronic shoegaze in Italy. Michael Andrews, behind the version of ‘Mad World’ used in the film ‘Donnie Darko’ and producer of BRENDAN BENSON and VAN DYKE PARKS, was also an important multi-instrumentalist and arranger, as well as POPULOUS, and engineer Stephen Kaye (ZOEY DESCHANEL, ALICIA KEYS, HAIM). This collection of names is proof of his diversity – pop foundations with a universal tailoring.
